Rare 17th Century Dutch Antique Warming Pan Bearing The Arms of Amsterdam

We don't usually retail warming pans unless they are somewhat "unique" and a little different from the "norm"!
This example is somewhat different from the "norm".
With an elongated wrought iron shaft terminating with a brass pan, the pierced lid decorated with repousse work incorporating two rampant lions flanking either side of a crowned shield (The Arms of Amsterdam). the edge decorated with starbursts, acorns and clouds, and the rim bearing the inscription 'MAECHA REDE ENDE EEN DRAECHT STAET ALLEEN YN GODTS'.
Provenance - Unknown
Condition - As per the images. The pan has a historic riveted repair at the back. The pan displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
