A late 19th-century antique carved birch wood tankard.
The lid is carved with a geometric pattern and tipped with an ornate "pineapple style" finial and, is joined to the main carcass by way of a carved scrolled handle.
The carcass is heavily carved with geometric carving and includes five stylised figural and portrait panels and is supported overall on eight shaped feet.
Provenance - Sourced from Yorkshire, England.
Condition - Very good as per the images. There is a minor loss to some of the beading the main body of the tankard which is age-related. The tankard displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
