A late 17th Century English antique oak court cupboard of small proportions sourced from a private country estate/farm in Suffolk, England.
This cupboard is about as untouched as you will find.
Peg-joined construction.
The top portion of the cupboard with moulded cornice with turned drop pendant to each end above a single elongated door inset with two fielded panels. Below, a further cupboard, again with a single door inset with two fielded panels supported on raised stile feet.
THE CUPBOARD SPLITS INTO TWO FOR EASE OF MOVING.
Condition as per images. Original ironwork. All timbers are original aside from the front part of the cornice to the upper cupboard which was most probably replaced during the 19th Century as it shows a great degree of age in its own right. The remainder of the cornice to the sides is original and dates back to the time when the cupboard was made. All joints are sound. Please note that the timbers have gained both patination and some fading with many years of use. Re-colouring can be undertaken if necessary subject to the
