A large 19thC English antique salt-glazed stoneware jug / pitcher in the form of a leather bombard standing 28 cm (11") tall.
The side impressed with the stamp "MODEL OF THE ANCIENT LEATHER JACK OF ST CROSS WINCHESTER 1405".
Provenance - unknown.
Condition - good overall as oer the images. There are no cracks. There are two minor frits to the base and a minor glaze loss to the upper rim. This jug displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
