An early 18thC blacksmith-made antique iron bread peel.
English origin.
Used for placing and removing bread and related products from the oven.
With a decorative handle shaped with two love hearts and four apertures (verso is an elongated hanger / singular raised stand) over an elongated shaft with a raised thumb piece and central circular knop, terminating with a flattened rectangular base.
Provenance - Found in North Yorkshire, England.
Condition - Please refer to the images. The iron has some surface pitting commensurate with age.
