An early 16th Century English antique carved stone head of a Tudor gentleman depicted wearing a hat.
The head appears to be carved from sandstone.
This head may well have formed part of the external decoration of a window or doorway which is now long since lost.
Provenance - From a private Derbyshire-based collection.
Supported by an ebonised-painted steel stand made by our local blacksmith.
Condition - surface wear is commensurate with age (weathered). Please refer to the images. This displays very well. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
