An unusual 18thC-made Welsh antique iron fireside / down hearth spit stand.
With a single rolled sconce, two ratched hanging hooks (the top one is fixed and the bottom hook can be moved up and down the saw-shaped stem) and supported on four splayed feet.
Provenance - Acquired by us directly from Wales.
Condition - as per the images. Surface pitting to the iron is commensurate with age. The rolled sconce may be of a later date. The ratcheted hooks still function. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
